LANGUAGE ACCESS

Long Beach, NY by clicking here and signing this petition!
In April 2015, the City of Long Beach City Council established the City's Language Access Policy to ensure the provision of appropriate translation and interpretation services for Long Beach residents with limited English proficiency. This ensures that documents, messages, apps, and websites containing vital information will be translated and made available to residents who need that information.
The 2015 Language Access Policy was not enforced during the city council meetings, as experienced during the Adult-use cannabis retail dispensaries City Council meetings were not translated in Spanish. We the undersigned are petitioning the City of Long Beach to enforce the language access policy passed in 2015 by ensuring that all City Council meetings are translated/ communicated in Spanish.
