Hispanic Heritage Month became a national holiday in 1965 under President Lyndon Johnson’s administration.  It celebrates the dynamic history, cultures and contributions of those who came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America to the United States

Hispanic Heritage Month Dinner Dance

Richly diverse in culture, language and history, the Latino Civic Association promotes the beauty of Long Beach and its multicultural population. The Annual Hispanic Dinner Dance honors individuals and organizations recognizing them for their leadership.

Hispanic Heritage Month Kite Flying Festival 

The LB Latino Civic Association held our first annual Kite Flying event September 2022. We had a blast and would love for you to join us this year on September 23rd, 2023 12-2 PM. You can register here!

Three Kings Day 

One of our main initiatives is our annual family giveaway, where we provide gifts to families in our community at the local Lutheran Church. We make sure to provide gifts for children of all ages, so that no one is left out. We believe that it’s essential for our community to come together and celebrate our culture.
