Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala
Every year, Long Beach Latino Civic Association hosts an Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala, a celebration of the rich cultural heritage, resilience, and remarkable contributions of the Latino community. This event honors the invaluable impact that Latinos and their advocates have made across all sectors, from business to arts, education, politics, and beyond. As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals and communities in crisis, we recognize the strength and perseverance of the Latino community in overcoming challenges and creating pathways to self-reliance. Through this gala, we aim to not only celebrate the heritage and achievements of Latinos but also raise awareness and resources to continue our mission of providing access to opportunity networks for those in need. Together, we can create a future where all individuals are empowered to thrive.

28th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala
On October 24th, 2024 we hosted our 28th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala where we honored Long Beach School Counselor Mariela Giammarino, local Apple Bank Manager Jose Jara, founding member of Artists in Partnership and Long Beach Chamber of Commerce member Johanna Mathieson-Ellmer, Union leader John Mooney, former lead intern Eliana Park, and youth volunteer Joseph Zambrano.
27th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala
On October 19th, 2023 we hosted our 28th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala where we honored local businness owner and founder of Beyond Zen Healing Nicole Fader, Long Beach Schools Assistant Super Intendent of Curriculum Jennifer Gallagher, and former teacher, policeman, lifeguard, and NYS Assemblyman Hervey Weisenberg.
26th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala
On October 27th, 2022 we hosted our 26th Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala where we honored musician Fernandito Ferrer, singer, songwriter and professional recording artist Chris Milo, 3 time Emmy Award winner and featured meteorologists on Fox 5 News Audrey Puente, Grammy Award winner Tito Puente Jr., and classicaly trained and renowned violinist Marisol Pipa Zapata.
