The LB Latino Civic Association is a non-profit dedicated to empowering Latino community in Long Beach. Since our formation in the mid-1990s, we have committed to improving residents' lives and providing resources for success.
We proudly spearheaded various projects with lasting community impact, from a scholarship fund to recognizing local Latinx leaders' achievements. Our mission is to bridge the Latino and public officials while pride and purpose within our city.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day March
In collaboration with the One Better World Project, the Long Beach Latino Civic Association proudly participated in this special event at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on February 12 in honor of Black History Month. The evening brought community members together to celebrate and reflect on the remarkable history, achievements, resilience, and lasting contributions of Black Americans.
We were honored to support this meaningful event and help promote education, unity, and cultural appreciation within our community.
The Long Beach Latino Association proudly participated in the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a tradition in Long Beach since 1968. This year's theme, "Keeping The Dream Alive," holds special significance as the Association marches alongside community members to honor Dr. King's legacy. With great privilege, they joined the march, emphasizing the importance of unity and the ongoing fight for justice and equality for all. Together, they reflect on the values of empowerment and hope that Dr. King championed.

Pollution Mitigation
We develop practical projects and raise awareness of our pollution-producing behavior. Floaters can severely affect the community by blocking drains, causing safety and potential damage Toxins can spread between air, soil, and water in the community through photodegradation or direct human exposure. Our goal is to improve and protect waterways and educate residents and youth about the negative effects of plastics, cigarette butts,, straws, and litter.
The Long Beach Latino Civic Association is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $100,000 Environmental Justice Community Impact Grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). This project “Pollution Mitigation to Health Benefits,” aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while addressing critical local environmental and public health issues, along with a focus on enhancing community resilience against the impacts of pollution.

Immigration Protection Forums
A quarterly forum where LBLCA collaborates with a network of allies to discuss information and provide assistance for immigrant families and neighbors in the US.
LB Latino Civic wanted to keep our community safe and give our members some piece of mind that their families and quality of life would not be changed by new immigration policies of the time.
Youth Leadership Development in Victory
LB Latino Civic Association empowers local youth through civic engagement education, fostering informed and active citizenship. Our programs highlight the impact of civic participation, encouraging young people to use their voices for positive change. We also offer a college and career readiness internship that uses social justice principles to cultivate empowered leaders.
Career Connections
The LB Latino Civic Association is dedicated to empowering young individuals through education, enabling them to thrive in their communities. We offer a complimentary restaurant training program for eligible participants aged 18 to 24.
Census 2020 “Cuenta Conmigo
Partnered with "The New York Community Trust '', LB Latino Civic promoted and encouraged members of the community to fill out the 2020 Census. Our office was a census hotspot as we had Census workers come in to assist potential job seekers to work for the Census Bureau.
LB Latino Civic Association helped 5,000 people fill out the 2020 census.
Census 2020 “Cuenta Conmigo
"Calls for Comfort" began in March 2020 with check-up calls addressing the Covid-19 crisis. As trust grew, members sought help finding food and essentials. Generous donations from our community have provided families with food, baby supplies, and Easter treats. We continue our "Caravans for Care" program with ongoing calls and deliveries, and donations are still appreciated.
Green Light
The Green Light law, or Driver’s License Access and Privacy Act, enables individuals without legal status in the U. to apply for a Standard New York State Driver’s License (classes D, M, &, non-CDL) by following the same application process, tests, and fees as other applicants.
